In this meeting, we will discuss the best approaches to capturing and reporting Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I and III participant, reportable individual, and service information.  We will then delve into innovative strategies for improving data integrity and data collection efficiency.  Attendees will have an opportunity to share their state’s unique data collection approaches and receive clarification on how best to report this information.

Description

The meeting will begin with a short explanation of the guidance contained in Training and Employment Guidance Letters (TEGLs) 10-16 Change 1, TEGL19-16, TEGL 21-16 and the WorkforceGPS Reportable Individual resource guide.  U.S. Department of Labor staff will facilitate a review of this data by state and program from the latest Participant Individual Record Layout (PIRL), by state and by program.  The discussion will conclude with an open forum where States will receive guidance and have an opportunity to share promising data collection practices, strategies, and considerations.
